Youth Programs offer many opportunities for youths who are interested in the shooting sports and our firearms heritage.
Through CRPA-sanctioned activities, youngsters of all ages have the opportunity to learn gun safety, participate in shooting sports activities, learn a new discipline or hone their skills. CRPA junior activities are conducted through the collaborative efforts of the local-level shooting and sporting clubs and other organizations.
Youth programs offer an opportunity to learn about and respect firearms and the specifics of safe gun handling practices through experience under supervision. Trusted with the important responsibilities of shooting, youngsters gain tremendous self-respect as well as a strong desire to succeed in this wonderful sport. The lessons of history and heritage that often accompany safe, supervised shooting and firearms events help bring new, positive focus for modern events to the eyes of California youth.
* A CRPA-sanctioned activity is one in which CRPA runs the state championship and regulates the match.
